Then we return to Beak’s apartment where he is looking out the rear of the Tides Hotel. His window is the second window in line from the north end of the building on the third floor, rear (west side). The reporters are parked on Ocean Ct. We see the back of the Senator Hotel which was used in the filming of Milk Run.

Beaks call his Parole officer from the hallway of the Tides. She is filmed inside 1200 Ocean Drive, next door to the south.

Then we cut to Gina and Stan in the van. The van is parked on Ocean Court just south of 12th Street.

Then we see Beaks leave the Tides Hotel via the south side fire escape from the third floor. We saw this same fire escape used in the filming of the movie Bad Boys.

Then we see Castillo call Stan while Stan and Gina are parked in the alley. This scene has two cuts with Castillo. The first location is unknown but I did find the second. He is driving northbound on Collins Avenue from 16th Street to 1621 Collins Ave. At the end of the cut we see the ramp and building of 1621 Collins Avenue.

Then we see Beak’s turn the corner from Ocean Court to 14th Street. He gets into his car that is parked on 12th Street by Ocean Drive.

Then we cut to Ellen’s school where Beak’s assaults her. This was filmed in the southern most building of the complex.

Then we go to the magazine’s office. Filmed on location at the Tides Hotel. In a room on the first floor south side of the building facing 1200 Ocean Drive.

Then we see the Testarossa on the streets. We first see them turn from southbound on 37th Avenue to eastbound on Grand Avenue in Coconut Grove. In the background we see them pass a parking lot. This same spot, some years later, Burn Notice used in the filming of their episode, Hot Spot.

Then we see Stan in the OCB. Filmed on set.

Then we see what at first looks like the Testarossa driving on the left side of the road. However; the side view mirror on the wrong side and the backward signs show that this was a reversed / flipped image. They are northbound on SW 37th Avenue headed away from Grand Avenue.

It cuts and C+T are are in a different location. Location unknown.

Then C+T try to track down the mercenary. This was filmed on location at 1221 Collins Ave., Miami Beach.

The search continues, now at an outdoor shooting range. This location was unknown for a very long time. Thanks to Tom at miamiviceonline.com we now know this was filmed on location at 7266 SW 24th Street. The range is long gone now but I will try to get there soon to photograph the area since nothing has been built on the property.

Then we get a unique, no longer available view from the back toward the front of the Tides Hotel.

We go inside the Tides briefly and see Beaks, in his room, watching Costello.

Then we return to the exterior rear to see C+T arrive on Ocean Court from 12th Street.

Then we cut back inside the Tides to Beaks’ room to see the shooter approach on the roof of the building just north of 1221 Collins Ave.

The shooter makes his shot and then attempts to escape from the SE corner of the building. This back part of the structure no longer exist.

Crockett jumps out of the third floor window. 3rd window in from the north. This is a filming goof as explained below. Now there is a pool and deck where he jumped down.

Trudy comes up between the buildings and shoots Hatch.

Filming Goof: Possibly due to the stunt work involved in the segment that was not properly thought through. Earlier we saw that the window above the back door (#3) had vent windows on the right side and an AC unit on the left. The window to the left, second in from the north end (#2), is a single pane of glass, not vent windows as the rest of the windows in the hotel are.

The window to the left (#2) with the single panes of glass is the one that Hatch shoots Beaks thru.

But when he exits the window he has shifted over to window 3, above the back door and it no longer has the vent glass and AC unit. Probably figured no one would notice.
